Full Installation Instructions
Unzip the file into a directory on your hard drive. There are multiple directories in the .zip file, so please be sure they are correctly created on your hard drive or the game will not run.

Update Installation Instructions
Unzip the file into your existing Lost Legends directory, replacing the existing files with those from the .zip file.  Run Lost Legends and verify the version number in the lower left of the main menu matches that from the update.

Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP or later
800 MHz or faster CPU
128 MB memory
Most Direct3D 9 compatible graphics cards, with at least 4 MB of memory
2 button mouse
400 MB free hard drive space - 140 MB for download, 200 MB for installation

Latest Beta Changes

New features
- Character personality trait system in character creation
- Support for graphics Shader Models 2.0 and later. This can be changed in the options screen
- Bows and crossbows now drop. They are two-handed weapons, and respectively require arrows or bolts in your inventory
- In third person, moving the mouse to the top or bottom of the screen changes the angle of the camera. W and S keys also can be used for this
- Distance fog in outside areas
- You are now notified on the main menu if a newer version is available, although it's up to you to download and install it
- Crashes can now be automatically submitted if it's ok with the player, instead of having to email them in (which is still an option)
- Double clicking a save game automatically loads the character for play
- Player character can be rotated in character creation screen
- Support for two-handed weapons

Gameplay changes
- Wizard's starting staff now includes a weak combustion attack
- The number of uses of found or bought scroll books now varies
- The number of daggers or throwing axes in a found or bought stack now varies
- The number of bolts or arrows in a found or bought quiver now varies
- Bows and crossbows show number of arrows or bolts on the UI when equipped
- Quivers of arrows and bolts can now be combined with like to max 200

Engine changes
- (0.204) Added more validation to determine actual vertex and pixel shader capabilities and fallback
- (0.204) Added support for cards which support vs 1.1 in hardware, but won't allow support of vs 2.0 in software
- Major overhaul of lighting system
- Slightly reduced memory footprint
- Improved graphics performance
- Reduced graphics memory footprint
- In outside areas, there's no longer black area outside the world
- All static menu and UI text converted to localizable text
- Performance query system now detects Shader Model 2 and later support

Bug fixes
- (0.204) Fixed a crash trying to draw particles
- (0.204) Fixed a crash due to invalid shader constant
- (0.204) If any complex shader fails to compile or be created, rendering drops back to vertex lighting
- (0.204) Fixed error text on several failures
- (0.204) Was incorrectly setting anistropy value on some graphics cards, which should be harmless, but could incorrectly crash some of them
- (0.204) Anisotropy value was too high in 3rd person
- (0.204) Attempting to test creation of a small pixel shader on some graphics cards would crash the driver, which it obviously should not do
- (0.204) Setting min filter to ansitropy could cause problems on some graphics cards, regardless of caps

- Items equipped on the player character's back weren't drawn all the time
- Fixed a problem with localized text and default English localizations
- Player light no longer sticks through walls, or cuts through doorways
- Player light could be added to scene multiple times
